What does “youth” mean to you? 🌊👧🏾👦🏾
For me, it’s those moments of joy that bloom out of the simplest things, an open hydrant on a hot summer day, laughter echoing down city blocks, imagination turning concrete into playgrounds. This piece is a reminder that joy is resistance, play is healing, and childhood is sacred.
I painted this to honor the innocence and resilience of young people in our communities, their ability to find freedom, even when the world gives them limits.
💬 Drop a memory of your own fountain of youth in the comments. Was it a block party? Ice cream trucks? Chalk on the sidewalk? I’d love to hear your story as it may be used in future pieces in the series …
